Are calculator numbers bids? No. They are fair ranges (low/high) for a scope in your region. Send the breakdown to bidders and ask them to price the same scope. See how calculators work.
Why is my bid outside the range? Ask the bidder which line item diverges. Common causes: hidden conditions, tier mismatch (best finishes vs good), or access and code upgrades the model cannot see.
Accounts
Do I need an account to read docs or use calculators? No. Accounts are only needed for the contractor dashboard and claimed directory profiles.
Do subs or customers need paid accounts? No. Clients and subcontractors are always free. Subs join by link invite; property owners open the customer portal link with no login. Only the contractor pays: Contractor ID, Studio, or both.
